Help me help the world one dollar at a time.

Like many late twenty-somethings, I don't like my job. I feel that there are so many other things I could be doing with my time. I'd really like to retire early so I can devote my time to other things. I've got less than 2 years until I turn 30, so that seems like a great retirement age. I can think of so many other things I could be doing, like returning to Kenya to do more work with orphans, or volunteering at the Chimpanzee Rescue Center in Cameroon. I could volunteer with the SPCA or read to the blind in my own community. If I were retired, I could do all of these things.

I'd really just like to do more productive things with my time - things that make a difference in the world instead of just paying the bills. I figure I can retire at age 30 if I pull together one million dollars.

So I asked myself, "Self, how can you make one million dollars by the time you turn 30?" And then it came to me. I'll make a website and ask people for help. If one million people visit this site in 2 years and each person gives $1, or if 200,000 people visit and give $5 each, my dream can become a reality.
